Could you tell us about your business?

SJ Childs LLC was created to help families, educators, and service providers understand through training how to access, foster and provide services for the autistic community. I also run several groups on Facebook which serve to bring safety, inclusion, and love to those seeking such.

What inspires you to pursue your dreams and goals?

My family is made up of all neurodiverse individuals, and I’ve found passion in speaking to others, coaching parents, and educators, and assisting emergency responders in better understanding how to assist and empower those with disabilities.

What are 3 valuable lessons you have learned as a creative and changemaker?

All behavior is communication. 2) Knowledge turns fear into understanding. 3) When in doubt make kindness your route.

Let’s talk about the services/products you offer, who do you help, and how do you help?

I aim to help individuals, families, educators, service providers, and emergency services understand and create success with individuals in the autistic community. When you visit my website you can access the free podcast full of over 180 episodes of value through education and resources. Training services for schools, emergency services, and employers. Children’s books to help teach your child about special needs. Finally, you will find access to my in-person and virtual events, like the Neurodiverse Learning Sensory Learning Retreat and 1 in 36 Mix.

What is your ultimate secret to your success?

Making Connections. Networking, podcasting, and connecting with others have brought so many amazing opportunities that have given me the great pleasure of making friendships and relationships on a global scale.

What is next for you?

I have 2 big events coming up for me in the future- 1. The Neurodiverse Sensory Learning Retreat in Stuart Florida June 13-16 (in-person) and the 2nd event is The 1 in 36 Mix Autism Mixer-August 11-12 Virtual
