Carla R. Cannon-Lawrence (also known as The Trailblazer) is a Certified Trauma-Informed Life & Business Coach where she helps women break through the barriers of what’s really holding them hack! She is also a National Bestselling author of over a dozen books, educator and healer. Carla is passionate about helping women win in life and business by healing what’s still hurting, overcoming limiting beliefs/poor mindset, and positioning themselves to prosper and pivot on this journey called life.
What type of business do you have and how long you’ve been operating your business?
Carla is the CEO of Trailblazers University (coaching and consulting agency) established in 2011, and Cannon Publishing (book publishing company) established in 2015.
What inspires you to pursue your dreams and goals?
Carla’s personal journey of experiencing childhood trauma that involved physical, mental and emotional abuse that led to her having a poor self-image, becoming codependent and making poor choices led to self-discovery which she committed to doing the necessary work to heal and overcome and now helps others do the same.
What are 3 valuable lessons you have learned as a creative and changemaker?
1. No experience is ever wasted.
2. Comparison leads to paralysis.
3. Discipline and commitment are pertinent keys to success.

Carla’s primary focus is internal success which she feels is required to excel in life and business. She helps women overcome their fears, negative thinking, poor habits and time management; etc. She also helps aspiring authors strategically share their story by using her framework that walks them through a process of how to write a bestselling book in 7 days.
What is your ultimate secret to your success?
Authenticity. Not being afraid to be her authentic self while being transparent in the process. Carla truly believes that authenticity and vulnerability are pertinent to her success.
