The Wotruba Church in Vienna is a masterpiece of Brutalist architecture, envisioned by the renowned Austrian sculptor Fritz Wotruba and brought to life by architect Fritz Gerhard Mayr. Completed in 1976, the church is constructed from 152 raw concrete blocks of varying sizes, with the tallest block reaching 13.1 meters. This unorthodox arrangement gives the building a sculptural, almost abstract quality that challenges traditional church architecture.
