The work of architect Santiago Estebanez is strongly inspired by pre-Hispanic design and our Mexican roots; This year we collaborated on a piece that was made with volcanic stone, the same material that the Aztecs used to create their sculptural and architectural work. The piece made is inspired by the pre-Hispanic nahui-ollin glyph, a symbol of creativity and creation. , for this collaboration we created a typographic alphabet inspired by pre-Hispanic forms, an experimental alphabet, with the use of materials and textures in prints of a typographic specimen, as well such as the box for packaging, a card with the certificate of authenticity, as well as the envelope for this card, creating an experimental, dynamic and contemporary identity but at the same time with respect for its deep Mexican roots.
