To achieve a sustainable music album industry, HYBE has introduced a brand new album medium, the Digital Code, as an alternative to physical CDs. HEAZ developed design guidelines for both the Digital Code and its packaging.
Drawing inspiration from a ‘Product Tag’, the Digital Code incorporates the ‘H’ shape from the HYBE logo, representing brand identity. This code could be flexibly applied with various album concepts while maintaining a consistent shape. Beyond albums, it can be used for accessories like keychains and special merchandise for K-pop fans. Reusable plastic material emphasizes the sustainability of the Digital Code even more.
HEAZ also devised a new packaging system using the Digital Code and its tag as the opener, allowing the package to be opened in one motion when the tag is pulled. This system has been implemented in the albums of HYBE artists, including or such as BTS and ENHYPEN.
