Creativity and graphic design for the exhibition “Singulars” promoted by the Government of Catalonia at the Catalan Book Week venue about the challenges, conflicts, and questions posed by artificial intelligence in the field of creation.
Our proposal reflects on the impact of technology on human development. Are we victims of transhumanism? Does technology truly make us better? The term *technological singularity* refers to the point of no return when computational intelligence will reach such a level of complexity that, by being able to self-improve, it will surpass human limitations. But what is its impact? We are exposing ourselves to a reality that is difficult to predict, hard to define, yet unsettling. The uncontrolled use of technology to enhance human abilities and overcome the physical and mental limitations of the human body, combined with this very human, yet also highly productivist and mercantilist drive to constantly surpass ourselves… could it be leading us to beings?
